چکیده
In this study, dynamometer engine tests were conducted to investigate the impact of test cycle and fuel type on consumption exhaust emissions a heavy-duty diesel engine. This study presented novel approaches by utilizing comprehensive statistical analysis assess these impacts particulate matter (PM), PM-bound polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), multiple gaseous pollutants. Four types fuels—two conventional diesels (X Y) each with 5% blend biodiesel—were used under European Transient Cycle (ETC) Stationary (ESC). There statistically significant higher emission rates (by 9–73%) ETC than ESC due more occurrences lower speeds loads ESC, X fuels had PM carbon dioxides ([CO2]; 2.1–13%) but ([THC]; 44%) attributed cetane number, sulfur contents boiling points. Compared diesel, biodiesel slightly PM, CO, NOX (1.7–6.6%) (1%) CO2 THC (0.9–2.1%). The results contributed limited datasets interactive effects property vehicle emissions.

Influence of oxygen-enrichment air intake and bioethanol–gasoline blends on exhaust emissions and fuel consumption of gasoline engine
Among human activities, motor vehicles play the most important role in air pollution. Air pollution has negative impacts on people and on the environment. In this paper the effect of oxygen-enriched air (20.8%, 21.8%, 22.8%, 23.8% and 24.8%) and different bioethanol-gasoline blends (zero, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25%) in different engine speeds (1000 rpm, 2000 rpm and 3000 rpm) on the amount o...

In this experimental study, the fuel system of the OM364 diesel engine manufactured by IDEM company, which operates in the basic mode with inline fuel pump and mechanical governor control, is upgraded to a common rail system with electronic control by the ECU. Also, emmssion of exhaust gases is reduced by SCR and DOC catalysts then performance and emmission parameters of engine are compared i...

A Fuel-Based Inventory for Heavy-Duty Diesel Truck Emissions
A fuel-based method for estimating heavy-duty diesel truck emissions is described. In this method, emission factors are normalized to fuel consumption; vehicle activity is measured by the amount of diesel fuel consumed. For the San Francisco Bay Area during summer 1996, on-road heavy-duty diesel trucks were estimated at the upper bound to emit 110 × 103 kg/day of nitrogen oxides (NOx) and 3.7 ×...
